we are on a mission:

To connect ideas and people, create oneness, in our chosen fields of work. To harmonise music, contextualise ethics and cherish the elderly. To make evident the beauty intrinsic to these fields.

our story

The first thing I learnt about privilege is that it must be shared with those who don’t have it.

Even in my earliest memories, my home is filled with family, friends and those who were not related to us, but needed long- and short-term refuge. In my professional avatar, I sometimes strayed from this empathetic path. My parents always guided me back to it.

I’ve helped many wealthy families create a smooth succession plan so that the next generation could enjoy the benefits accumulated by the previous. However, I myself haven’t fully leveraged the wealth bequeathed to me by my parents.

Their great legacy to me has been compassion.

For Priya, my wife and partner on this journey, the calling to social service came early.

A childhood spent taking care of her ailing grandfather and holidays with her maternal grandparents fuelled her passion to serve the elderly.

We both now realise that just writing cheques simply won’t do justice to the reservoir of compassion we’ve received. We must give our time, emotions and sweat in addition to money. We must champion causes that are dear to us, important to society and underserved by other organisations.

Ekatvam is an initiative of Entrust Foundation. It is the prayer of thanks we sing to our ancestors. So that we can feel one with the universe, just like they did.

what we do

MUSIC

Ekatvam will provide a platform in which any and every musician – irrespective of their genre or identity – can perform.

A great many talented musicians languish in the sidelines because they don’t get opportunities to perform on popular platforms or are asked to pay so that they will be allowed to perform.

Our ultimate ambition is to provide a platform that is open 24*7…

A great many talented musicians languish in the sidelines because they don’t get opportunities to perform on popular platforms or are asked to pay so that they will be allowed to perform.

Our ultimate ambition is to provide a platform that is open 24*7, every day of every year. Our quarterly musical programs for the upcoming talented, shall find them a quick path to recognition and sustenance. As a billion people celebrate colours and spring, in our endeavor to sprinkle a little music into the mix, we will celebrate colour and music together at our yearly Ekatvam Holi Music Fest by bringing together- performers, connoisseurs, critics and mentors.

Till we have our own dedicated venue, we will be relying on the largesse of other organizations/ institutions who will allow us to use their space.

INDIAN ETHICS

Ekatvam shall strive to help Indian children practice humane values and ethics that come to us from a purer time.

There is a sense of urgency now about rediscovering our roots, and anchoring our identity because globalization is quickly homogenizing our planet.
Sometime during our quest for development, we have lost an awe-inspiring way of life…

There is a sense of urgency now about rediscovering our roots, and anchoring our identity because globalization is quickly homogenizing our planet. Sometime during our quest for development, we have lost an awe-inspiring way of life. We can reclaim it if we rummage the ruins of our ancient social structures.

Our focus is to bequeath our best ancient ideas to the future.

What does the Ramayana teach us about friendships?

What did children learn when they learnt to pray?

How did the Vedas promote health and hygiene?

Why did we create mythical characters out of planetary bodies?

Such lessons will be imparted to today’s “connected” generation of children via training programs conducted inside as well as outside campuses.

ELDERLY CARE

Ekatvam will work towards enhancing the quality of life enjoyed by our elderly.

Due to modern-day pressures, the younger generations are unable to give our elderly the one thing they crave – our time.

Due to modern-day pressures, the younger generations are unable to give our elderly the one thing they crave – our time.

At Ekatvam, our unwavering focus is on improving the quality of life of the elderly through:

TRAINING PROGRAMS:

To enable them to learn the use of modern technology and equip them to deal effectively with healthcare experts and other service. But most importantly, to renew their zest for life by finding a new purpose and sense of belongingness to society.

COUNSELLING:

We will identify, enable and nurture specialist geriatric counsellors who will give our elderly quality time and help them pursue the goals they set for themselves.

ONENESS PROGRAMS:

These events will be designed for intergenerational mingling where all generations will experience fun-filled knowledge transfer. The elderly will talk about how things were in their day while the kids will provide the contrast by describing how that same thing is implemented today.
